JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo is on Thursday (Oct. 8) expected to inspect the efforts to extinguish forest fires in Jambi province, Sumatra Island. It will be President Jokowi’s fourth visit to the forest fires areas in Sumatra and Kalimantan.

The President’s visit to Jambi today has been confirmed by Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung, who is also politician from PDI-P.

According to the report, Jokowi will continue his visit in Sumatra Island by visiting Riau and West Sumatra after his visit in Jambi. He’s scheduled to return to the capital city Jakarta on Sunday (Oct. 11).

Prior to fly to Jambi, as reported earlier this morning, Jokowi visited the location of the drilling work for the underground section of the south-central Jakarta Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) line at the Senayan roundabout in order to monitor the progress of the project. (haryantosuharman@yosefardi.com)
