JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Vice President Jusuf Kalla is expected to attend the 70th Regular Session of the General Assembly of the United Nations (UN) at the UN headquarters in New York, United States of America.
VP Kalla is on his way to New York today. Kalla is scheduled to return to Indonesia on Oct. 4, 2015. Kalla will then spend Idul Adha (an Islamic holiday of sacrifice) on Sep. 24 in New York.
During his working visit in New York, Kalla is accompanied by his wife Mufidah Kalla. Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno LP Marsudi also included in Kalla’s entourage.
President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo, meanwhile, will start his another visit to Kalimantan and Sumatra islands today in order to inspect the efforts to extinguish forest fires in the two islands. The President will spend Idul Adha in Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan. (haryantosuharman@yosefardi.
