JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Vice President Jusuf Kalla has summoned Comr. Gen. Syafruddin, Head of the National Police’s Education School (Lemdikpol), to his office on Wednesday (Sep. 2) afternoon.
VP Kalla, however, denied the meeting with Syafruddin relating to the rumor about the dismissal of Comr. Gen. Budi Waseso from his position as Chief of the National Police’s Criminal Investigation Division (Bareskrim POLRI).
The former chairman of Golkar Party said that they just discussed about the police education system.
Syafruddin, as you may know, once served as Kalla’s adjutant when the latter served as Vice President of the Republic for 2004-2009 period.
The rumor of Budi Waseso’s dismissal was swirling around since yesterday. But Budi Waseso himself has denied the rumor and stressed that he’s remain the Chief of the Bareskrim POLRI. Budi has led the Bareskrim since Jan. 19, 2015. (haryantosuharman@yosefardi.com)
