PADANG (Yosefardi) – Cement producer PT Semen Padang, subsidiary of state cement maker PT Semen Indonesia Tbk (SMGR) reported 10.4% domestic cement sales decline in the first half of 2015 due to the economic slowdown.
Semen Padang sold 2.95 million tons of cement in the period in the domestic market, compared to 3.29 million tons in the first half of 2014. Then, Semen Padang plans to boost its export to 500,000 tons this year.
In the second half of this year, Semen Padang targets the government’s infrastructure projects such as roads, bridges, water irigation, and low-segment public housing.
