JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – PT Bank ICBC Indonesia provides US$160 million loan, equivalent Rp2.16 trillion, for PT China Senangol Media Investment, used to fund the construction of the tallest building in Indonesia, Gedung Indonesia I.
President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo on May 23, 2015 kicked off construction of this twin towers developed by China Sonangol and its Indonesian partner Media Group (controlled by Surya Paloh), chairman of NasDem Party in Central Jakarta.
The towers have 60 floor each. The project will be the second between China Sonangol and Media Group. Their first project is the eX Plaza at Plaza Indonesia Shopping Town.
The 303-m towers will be built with around Rp8.3 trillion of investment, taking around 30 months.
