JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Alfa Group, through PT Cakrawala Mulia Prima, holds 10.8% stake in PT Bank Sahabat Sampoerna (Bank Sampoerna) while the rest 89.2% is controlled by Sampoerna Strategic Group.

Indra W Supriadi, president director of Bank Sampoerna, said this collaboration would accelerate the bank’s business growth, expand lending to micro, small and middle segments in the country.

Alfa Group, as largest retailer in Indonesia, operates 7,064 outlets, by end 2012. Alfa acquires 10.8% stake in Bank Sampoerna from PT Pahalamas Sejahtera, founder of bank.

Bank Sampoerna’s assets reached 2.2 trillion as of June 2013. It booked profit after tax of Rp7.5 billion.
