JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Golkar Party continues pushing for the amendment of the Regional Election Law while other political parties reject the idea.

Ade Komarudin from Golkar Party argued that the revision of said law is needed to avoid long internal conflict emerging from dualism of leadership in political party in the future.

While other political parties, especially those associated in the ruling coalition, rejected the amendment plan.

As reported earlier, the fate of Golkar is remain uncertainty on whether or not they could participate in the 2015 simultaneous regional elections. The party has still been divided into the two warring factions of Agung Laksono and Aburizal “Ical” Bakrie.
