JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – State owned steel producer PT Krakatau Steel (KRAS) Tbk has signed amendment of contract with MCC-CERI and PT Krakatau Engineering related to its blast furnace project.
Under the amended contract, production capacity of the coke oven plant will be raised from 500,000 tons to 555,000 tons per annum with additional cost of US$14 million.
That means the total EPC contract for the blast furnace project would grow to US$542.6 million. First blow-in of the blast furnace is scheduled late 2015.
The blast furnace will produce 1.2 million tons per annum of hot metals.
