JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – The Great Indonesia ruling coalition (KIH) and the Red-and-White opposition (KMP) reportedly have reached an agreement on a fair representation in the leadership of the working commissions and parliamentary bodies altogether known as the AKD (Alat Kelengkapan Dewan).

Will this pave the way to ending conflict between the two warring factions in the House Representatives (DPR)?

PDI-P senior politician Pramono Anung from the KIH revealed on Monday (Nov. 10) that both factions have agreed that KIH will get 16 seats in AKD leadership.

In a different place, PAN Chairman Hatta Rajasa from KMP also confirmed the agreement. He said the agreement has been reached in a meeting held at his private residence last night.

Attending in the meeting, according to Hatta, were Ade Komaruddin of Golkar, Fadli Zon of Gerindra, Pramono Anung of PDI-P, and Olly Dondokambey of PDI-P. Hatta also attended the meeting.

As reported earlier, DPR has been deeply divided after KMP successfully taking control of AKD leadership which prompted the KIH to step up their fight for fair representation by establishing its own version of the DPR leadership.(haryantos@yosefardi.biz)
