JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) ended down 0.61% at 5188 Tuesday (September 23) following most markets in the region.

Blue chip stocks led the market’s fall. Astra International lost 1.36%, Bank Central Asia fell 1.17%, Bank Rakyat Indonesia declined 1.39%, Alam Sutera shed 1.04%, Bumi Serpong Damai slashed 2.8%, Bumi Resources fell 1.56%, Vale Indonesia dropped 2.4%, and Timah lost 2.7%.

Waskita Karya also declined 1.12% and Matahari Putra Prima dropped 4%.

While Adaro Energy gained 1.2%, Aneka Tambang rose 1.82%, Multipolar jumped 4.73%, Pakuwon Jati increased 1.18%, and Visi Media surged 4.44%.

Nymex’s crude oil increased 0.26% to US$90.34 per barrel and gold rose 0.1% to US$1,222.30 per ounce. The rupiah weakened again to Rp11,987 against the US dollar.
