JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – National motorcycles sales dropped 11% to 580,288 units in January this year, mainly due to impact of flood. In January 2013, national motorcycles sales totaled 649,983 units.
The Indonesia Motorcycles Industry Association (AISI) reported PT Astra Honda Motor sold 367,069 units (Jan 2013: 398,608), PT Yamaha Motor sold 174,002 units (Jan 2013: 203,501).
While PT Suzuki Motor Indonesia sold 30,012 units (Jan 2013: 35,758), Kawasaki 10,012 units (Jan 2013: 10,559), and TVS sold 1,015 units (Jan 2013: 2,007).
Honda holds 63.2% of market share, Yamaha 29.9%, Suzuki 5.17%, Kawasaki 1.4%, and TVS 0.17%.
