JAKARTA (Indonesia Today) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) retreated 0.52% to 4,985.76 this morning in line with most markets in region which were in red zone.

Investors opt to take profit after the markets gained on Wednesday’s trade. Wall Street market also closed flat yesterday.

Nymex’s crude oil increased 0.25% to US$91.66 per barrel in Asian trading this morning.

In Jakarta bourse, Astra International dropped 4.49% after reporting a 7.3% drop in net profit for the first quarter of 2013. Weaker performance of United Tractors and Astra Agro Lestari contributed to the decline. United Tractors also fell 0.81% while Astra Agro lost 1.14%.

Also falling were Aneka Tambang (-0.72%), Bumi Serpong Damai (-0.58%), Lippo Karawaci (-1.48%), and Telkom (-1.26%). (hans@theindonesiatoday.com)
