JAKARTA (Indonesia Today) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) ended down 0.43% to 4,975.33 on Tuesday (April 23) in line with regional markets.

Shanghai lost 2.57% while Hong Kong’s Hang Seng declined 1.08%. The IDX opened lower this morning and was under selling pressure during the day trading.

Adaro Energy fell 0.81%, Astra International shed 0.64%, Alam Sutera declined 0.96%, Bank Rakyat Indonesia down 0.57%, Bank Negara Indonesia slipped 0.93%, Bank Mandiri dropped 1.4%, and Bumi Serpong Damai lost 1.75%.

Other losers were Telkom (-0.83%), Trada Maritim (-0.71%), Semen Indonesia (-1.9%), Saranacentral Bajatama (-1.28%), and Polychem Indonesia (-1.33%).

Nymex’s crude oil fell 1.2% to US$88.12 per barrel. The rupiah weakened further to Rp9,728 against the US Dollar. (hans@theindonesiatoday.com)
