JAKARTA (Indonesia Today) – Martabe gold mining operation is for temporarily halted due to the delay of pipe intallation for water processing residual to Batangtoru river in South Tapanuli, North Sumatera.
PT Agincourt Resources as the operator of Martabe gold mine had in Sept 19, 2012 informed local government to have installed pipe to Batangtoru river by September end. Instead, the mining operation at Martabe would be halted.
Thamrin Sihite, general director of Energy Ministry, said the suspension of Martabe gold mining operation is related to the securities issue.
