JAKARTA (Indonesia Today) – Government of Indonesia increases target of revenue from mining sector to Rp31 trillion in 2013, from Rp29 trillion this year.

Thamrin Sihite, Director General of Mineral & Coal, said the state revenue from mining sector is contributed by royalty and tax.

He however said the government would not increase target of production alongwith the increase in revenue target.

The government has raised royalty for clean and clear mining licenses, consisting of coal which contributes 70% of total mining royalty and mineral sector that contributed the rest 30%. (hans@theindonesiatoday.com)
