JAKARTA, Indonesia Today – Up to 55 companies have been granted Mineral Export Permit (SPE) from Ministry of Trade as of end June 2012.

Director General of Foreign Trade at Ministry of Trade, Deddy Saleh, told national media that there are approximately 78 Listed Exporters (ET) for mineral sector, comprising of 44 nickel companies, nine iron ore companies, 11 bauxite/aluminium, two coppers, one marble, four zircons, two manganese, and one ziolite.

The 55 companies, which have bagged SPE, comprised of 32 nickel companies, six iron ore companies, two copper companies, 10 bauxite companies, four zircon companies, and one marble companies.

The mineral export allocation for this year consists of 15.99 million tons of nickel, 2.6 million tons of iron ore, 1.28 million tons of copper, 3.2 million tons of aluminium/bauxite, 19,200 tons of zircon, and 5,000m3 of marble.

Unfortunately, Deddy did not disclose further on the companies’ identity.
