JAKARTA (Yoserfardi) – PT XL Axiata Tbk (EXCL) booked net profit of Rp670.43 billion in first half of this year, dropped 54% from Rp1.46 trillion in the same period of last year.
Revenues increased to Rp10.29 trillion from previous Rp10.12 trillion, but expense/cost also rose to Rp9.03 trillion, from Rp7.89 trillion in first half of 2012.
The company however said it had made a successful turnaround in revenue growth after two consecutive quarters of decline, driven by strong data traction with data revenue growth of 13% and non-voice now contributing 53% of total usage revenue.
XL ended 1H 13 with 41,293 BTS including 14,186 Node Bs with an aim to provide improved data experience to its customers. Its subscribers grew by 10% QoQ to 54.2 million subscribers.
