JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Other than a number of national leaders, several world leaders from foreign countries will also attend the inauguration of President-elect Joko “Jokowi” Widodo and Vice President-elect Jusuf Kalla on Monday (Oct. 20).
Secretary General of the People’s Consultative Assembly (MPR) Edi Siregar said about nine state heads and eight special envoys from foreign countries have confirmed to attend the inauguration.
Prime Minister of Australia Tony Abbott, Prime Minister of Singapore Lee Hsien Loong, Prime Minister of Malaysia Najib Razak, and King of Brunei Darussalam Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah, have confirmed their attendances.
Also confirmed are;

2) Speaker of Iran’s Parliament Ali Ardashir Larijani
3) President of Timor Leste Taur Matan Ruak
4) Deputy Prime Minister of Thailand Prayut Chan-o-cha
5) Prime Minister of the Republic of Haiti Laurent Salvador Lamothe
6) Governor General of Papua New Guinea Michael Ogio
7) US State Secretary John Kerry
8) British Foreign Secretary Phillip Hammond
9) Foreign Minister of Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov
10) Dutch Foreign Minister Bert Koenders

12) Former Prime Minister of Japan Yasuo Fukuda
13) Special envoy from Vietnam.
Jokowi and Kalla will take their oath as the new President and Vice President of the Republic in the plenary session of the MPR at 10:00 AM of Jakarta time.
After the inauguration, Jokowi and Kalla are scheduled to “walk” in a parade planned by their supporters to the National Monument (Monas) and then to the State Palace at Medan Merdeka, Central Jakarta. (haryantos@yosefardi.biz)
