JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – General (ret) Wiranto has been re-elected as Chairman of Hanura Party in the party’s congress on Sunday (Feb. 15) in Solo, Central Java.

Wiranto was re-elected through an acclamation from all of Hanura’s cadres. So therefore, the retired Army general will lead the party for the next five years.

Hanura Party is now one of members of the Great Indonesia ruling coalition (KIH).

The party is currently the smallest political party in the House of Representatives (DPR) with only 16 seats or 2.85 percent of the total 560 DPR seats. (haryantosuharman@yosefardi.com)
