JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Golkar Party politician Tubagus Chaeri Wardana aka Wawan, a bribery suspect and brother of Banten Governor Ratu Atut Chosiyah, once again failed to show up on Thursday’s trial of the bribery case related to the handling of Lebak regency post-election dispute at the Jakarta Corruption Court due to illness.

Matheus, presiding judge of Wawan case, then decided to reschedule the trial for Wawan to March 6, 2014. Previously, the presiding judge had scheduled Wawan’s first trial on Monday (Feb 24) but it failed as Wawan took medical treatment.

Pia Akbar Nasution, Wawan’s lawyer, explained that her client is still treated at the National Police Hospital in Kramat Jati, East Jakarta.

Wawan had also been named as suspect in a money laundering case. KPK has alleged Wawan’s illicit money flown to several lawmakers and young female celebrities. (haryantos@yosefardi.biz)
