JAKARTA (Indonesia Today) – Wall Street’s main indexes ended slightly higher Wednesday (Sept 19), while Nymex crude oil dropped as much as 3.2% to US$91.9 per barrel.
Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) ended higher by 0.1%, while Nasdaq composite inched up 0.15%. The broader S&P 500 also ended up 0.12% only on concern about the world’s economic slowdown.
Nymex crude oil, meanwhile, declined further by 3.2% to US$92 in New York and US$91.8 per barrel in Asian trading Thursday (Sept 20) morning.
Asian stock markets responded with lower openings Thursday. Nikkei 225 and KOSPI composite down 0.29% and 0.21% respectively, while Australia’s All Ordinaries down 0.32%. (Indonesia Today)
