JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) dropped further by 1.96% to 15879 Friday (Jan 24) on growing fears over China economy and long overdue correction.
DJIA rallied from 12,500 in November 2012 to as high as 16,203 late last year or a 29% gain.
Nasdaq composite index also dropped 2.15% Friday, while S&P 500 declined 2.09% mostly on concerns about slowdown of China economy.
Earlier in Europe, FTSE 100 ended lower by 1.62%, while in Asia Nikkei 225 collapsed 1.94%. Indonesia’s composite index also dropped 1.31%, while India’s S&P BSE Sensex lost 1.12%.
Like DJIA, Nikkei 225 has also rallied from 10,751 in early 2013 to as high as 16,320 late last year or a 51% gain.
