JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Twenty people have registered themselves for becoming the new commissioners of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) to the selection committee until the fifth day of registration.
Yenti Garnasih, member of the selection committee, told Elshinta Radio on Tuesday (June 9) that two out of twenty are women.
Several other women, according to Yenti, will also register themselves in the coming days. The registration period of the KPK future leaders itself will be closed on June 24, 2015.
Later, President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo will choose top eight of KPK leader candidates proposed by the selection committee. The House of Representatives (DPR), meanwhile, will choose four out of eight candidates submitted by the President for becoming the new KPK leaders. (haryantosuharman@yosefardi.com)
