JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Indonesia’s non oil and gas trade deficit with China expanded 28% to US$1.32 billion in July 2013 from US$1.03 billion in the previous month.
While Indonesia’s non oil and gas export, including thermal coal and palm oil, grew 10% in the month, import increased significantly by 17.6%.
For the period of January-July 2013, non oil & gas trade deficit with China reached US$5.67 billion, grew slightly from US$5.35 billion in the corresponding period of 2013.
Other than coal and palm oi, Indonesia exports mineral ores like bauxite, nickel, and iron ore to the world’s second largest economy.
