JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Toll Road Regulatory Body (BPJT) proposes an average 10% hike of toll road tariffs effective September 27, 2013.
Ahmad Ghano Ghazaly, head of BPJT, said tariff hike is adjusted with inflation rate in respective regions in the period of September 2011 to August 31, 2013.
The tariff hike is part of the regular two-year adjustment in order to keep the infrastructure sector attractive to investors.
Daryatmo, executives of Indonesian Consumers Protection Foundation (YLKI), warned government and toll road operators to improve service quality before raising the tariffs.
“They have to make sure that consumers would get additional benefit from the tariff hike,” Daryatmo is quoted by Koran Tempo this morning.
