JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – PT Tiphone Mobile Indonesia Tbk (TELE) is now in talks to with Taiwan-based electronic firm Arima Communication Corp to develop research and development (R&D) for smartphone next year.
Both parties have earlier agreed on building smartphone production facility in Delta Silikon, Cikarang, West Java. This factory is designed to produce 300 units of smartphones per month during first six months of operation.
TELE said its voucher business is expected to contribute 70-80% revenue this year. The company booked net profit of Rp289.83 billion in first nine months of this year, grew by 20% from Rp240.54 billion in the same period of 2014. Revenues jumped 45% to Rp14.78 trillion from previous Rp10.18 trillion.
