JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Three wives of graft suspect Djoko Susilo, a high-ranking police officer, might be named suspects in their husband’s case.
The wives—Suratmi, Mahdiana, and Dipta Aninditia—didn’t show up in Djoko’s trial Friday (July 5th) without clear reasons. “Even their cellphones were not reachable,” said Roni, head of the prosecutor’s team.
Koran Tempo quoted Yenti Garnasih, money laundering law expert from Trisakti University, saying the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) could name Djoko’s wives suspects of money laundering.
“Bear in mind that they are beneficiary owner of the corruption crime,” Yenti said.
Law No 15/2002 about Money Laundering Crime, according to Yenti, can be used by KPK to drag Djoko’s wives.
