JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – The Deposit Insurance Corporation (LPS) recorded third party funds in banks at Rp4,454.9 trillion as of October 2015, declined 2% from previous month, with total 170.28 million accounts.
Deposits grew by 4.2%, the highest, which reached Rp84.2 trillion, compared to Rp80.8 trillion in September 2015.
As at September 2015, the banks total 118, of which 12 banks engage in syariah business. The conventional banks consist of 4 state-owned banks, 26 banks owned by regional government, 66 private banks, and 10 foreign banks’ office branches.
