JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia (Telkom) Tbk (TLKM), through its subsidiary PT Multimedia Nusantara (Metra), sets up pay-tv, Metra TV, to develop Usee TV into pay-tv services based on internet protocol television (IPTV).
Metra TV is known as a portal tv while TLKM also now has pay-tv with IPTV services named as Groovia. Metra TV is expected to operate in third quarter of this year.
TLKM had last year sold 80% shares of Telkom Vision with users of more than one million to Chairul Tandjung for Rp925 billion. The rest is remain held by TLKM through its unit PT Indonusa Telemedia.
At 10.48 am Jakarta time, TLKM fell 2.04% to Rp2165 per share. The stock had gained 8.3% since early December 2013.
