JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has questioned the Mayor of Tangerang Selatan Airin Rachmi Diany, sister-in-law of non-active Banten Governor Ratu Atut Chosiyah, for more than 10 hours related to further investigation into graft case of medical equipment procurement at Tangerang Selatan’s administration.
Airin finished the questioning at around 10:32 PM of Jakarta time, Thursday (Jan. 15) evening. After the questioning, Airin told the press that she was questioned as a witness for Dadang Prijatna, President Director of PT Mikindo Adiguna Perkasa (MAP) and one of suspects in the case.
Airin, however, was reluctant to give more comments over the questioning as well as the case.
As reported earlier, KPK had named three suspects in this case. Besides Dadang Prijatna, KPK also named Mamak Jamaksari (a commitment making official/PPK) and Tubagus Chaeri Wardhana aka Wawan (Airin’s husband and Ratu Atut’s younger brother). According to local media, Dadang is known as Wawan’s aide.
Wawan himself has been sentenced to five years jail term in another bribery case related to the handling of post-election dispute implicating the Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court Akil Mochtar. (haryantosuharman@yosefardi.com)
