JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Coal miner PT Sumber Energi Andalas Tbk (ITMA) booked net profit of US$20.12 million, equivalent Rp245 billion in 2013, jumped 131.5% from US$8.69 million in 2012.

The associated companies contributed profit of US$18.84 million. ITMA also booked interest income of US$15.73 million. It assets totaled US$54.42 million.

Earlier the company, formerly PT Itamaraya Gold Industry Tbk, focused on gold mining business, but in August 2012, it acquired 30% stake in PT Mitratama Perkasa, subsidiary of gaint coal miner PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI). As a result, ITMA changed its focus into coal trade and mining.
