JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Police Inspector General Suhardi Alius, Chief of West Java Police, has just been appointed as new Chief of the National Police Criminal Investigation Division (Bareskrim).

The appointment of Suhardi Alius was confirmed by the Chief of the National Police, General Sutarman, in a short message service (sms) to journalists.

Suhardi is expected to be sworn in as new Chief of the National Police Criminal Investigation Division on Tuesday (Nov 26). The post of Chief of the National Police Criminal Investigation Division is still vacant after Sutarman sworn in as New Chief of the National Police last month on Oct. 25.

Born in Jakarta on May 10, 1962, Suhardi was graduated from the Police Academy in 1985.

Prior to serving as the Chief of West Java Police, Suhardi took several strategic positions such as the spokesperson of the National Police (from 2012 to 2013) and Deputy Chief of the Jakarta Police (from 2011 to 2012). (haryantos@yosefardi.biz)
