JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – State-owned enterprises (SoE) will build smelter in remote area, to help small miners with mining licenses (IUP), a government official said.
Hatta Rajasa, coordinating minister of economy said small miners operated in potential and remote areas would not have to build smelter but demanded to supply their mining products to the smelter.
Hatta revealed that the government needs to help building smelter in effort to maintain the state’s revenue from mineral export which currently reaches US$4 billion per year.
In January 2014, the Indonesian government published regulations regarding exports of minerals, including copper concentrates.
