JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Dwi Soetjipto, CEO of state oil and gas company PT Pertamina (Persero), some subsidiaries of Pertamina mull to launch the initial public offering (IPO) in 2015.
Dwi said Pertamina’s subsidiaries intended to become listed companies or going public engage on business outside of Pertamina’s core business, such as transportation and shipping sector.
Dwi said Pertamina management will discuss with the Financial Services Authority (OJK) about planned IPO of Pertamina’s subsidiaries.
Dwi also revealed that Pertamina as parent company will not launch the IPO, as by law Pertamina has obligation to run as energy operator for the country.
Pelita Air, airliner, is one of the subsidiaries of Pertamina is considered to be offered to public through IPO. IPO would help boosting the earning performance of company, leading it into more transparent management, and help the company to get a quick investment. (rully@yosefardi.biz)
