JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – President Joko Widodo has appointed Sofyan Djalil as the new coordinating minister for the economy.
Sofyan is former minister of information and communication and minister of state-owned enterprises in the period of 2004-2009.
Sofyan emerged only recently for the post. Big names previously tipped for the job including Darmin Nasution (former governor of Bank Indonesia) and Sri Mulyani Indrawati (former minister of finance).
