SINGAPORE (Yosefardi) – Singapore Airlines (SIA) booked net profit of $282 million in first half of this year, jumped 68% from the same period of last year.
In the he second quarter, total revenues reached $3.22 billion, 2.6% higher than the same quarter last year. While passenger carriage grew by 4.9%.
The capacity grew by 3.2%. This was more than matched by passenger carriage growth of 4.9%, so as a result SIA’s load factor improved by 1.3 points to 81.1%.
For the first half, including the first quarter, SIA registered a load factor of 79.6%. That is flat year-on-year as the capacity growth was fully matched by passenger carriage growth.
