JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Poultry feed producer PT Sierad Produce Tbk (SIPD) targets to book revenues of Rp5 trillion this year, a 10-15% rise compared to 2012.
The company had in September 2, 2013 raised its selling price for poultry feed products by 15% as a response to current weakening of rupiah against the US Dollar. The company said 70% of its raw materials for poultry feed are imported from United States, Brazil, Argentina, and India.
On the other side, day old chick (DOC) price has been raised by 160% due to increasing demand.
SIPD booked revenues of Rp2.1 trillion in first half of this year. It allocates capital expenditure (Capex) of Rp350 billion for this year for funding development of breeding farms, unit 4 and 5, in Lebak Banten. SIPD also plans to build hatching eggs factory in West Java.
