JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Each political party contested in 2014 elections have opted many ways to attracting voters, among others featuring female celebrities in their lists of lawmaker candidates. The celebrities are promoted as the vote-getters.
Some local websites like www.livinginindonesia.info and www.bijaks.net even then have listed those female lawmaker candidates considered as sexy or beautiful. They are such as;
1) Destiara “Tata” Talita, lawmaker candidate from Sutiyoso’s PKPI in West Java VIII electoral district
2) Camelia “Camel Petir” Panduwinata Lubis, lawmaker candidate from Sutiyoso’s PKPI in Jakarta II electoral district
3) Angel Lelga Anggreyani, lawmaker candidate from Suryadharma Ali’s PPP in Central Java V electoral district
4) Venna Melinda, lawmaker candidate from President SBY’s Democratic Party in East Java VI electoral district
5) Melly Manuhutu, lawmaker candidate from Surya Paloh’s Nasdem Party in West Java III electoral district
6) Rachel Maryam, lawmaker candidate from Prabowo Subianto’s Gerindra Party in West Java II electoral district.
So, what people say about those sexy female lawmaker candidates? Would they indeed vote them? Here are some of comments collected through social media;

“I don’t need them!” another twitter account firmly refused.
“For those who are still confused about who will they vote or even had already frustrated, then you may vote for this one (sexy female candidates),” another twitter account’s owner suggested.
“Do not just sexy and beautiful. But what we truly need is lawmaker candidate who could bring the country better,” one reader expressed his skepticism.
“Could they (sexy female lawmaker candidates) attract voters to vote for them? But because they are just selling their physical beauty instead of their competencies, it could be dangerous!” another reader warned.
“Are there no better candidates can be offered to us? Where they would bring this country to ?” questioned one reader.
“Do the leaders of political parties have brains? How could they randomly put lawmaker candidates who will become the country’s leaders? That’s sucks!” another reader said angrily.
