JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – The Chief of National Police General Timur Pradopo has on Monday (Sep 16) sworn in new regional police chiefs for seven provinces in the inauguration ceremony held at the National Police’s headquarter in Trunojoyo, South Jakarta.

The sevent new Chiefs of regional police are;

1. Police Brig. Gen. Albertus Julius Benny Mokalu as new Chief of Bali Police replacing Police Ins. Gen. Arief Wahyunadi, who is promoted as new Operational Assistant of the Chief of National Police

2. Police Brig. Gen. Tatang Somantri as new Chief of Bengkulu Police replacing Police Brig. Gen. Albertus Julius Benny Mokalu

3. Police Brig. Gen. Pol Muhammad Zulkarnain as new Chief of Banten Police replacing Police Brig. Gen. Eddy Sumantri

4. Police Brig. Gen. Andjaja as new Chief of Gorontalo Police replacing Police Brig. Gen. Budi Waseso

5. Police Brig. Gen. Machfud Arifin as new Chief of South Kalimantan Police replacing Police Brig. Gen. Taufik Ansorie

6. Police Brig. Gen. Sobri Effendi Surya as new Chief of North Maluku Police replacing Police Brig. Gen. Machfud Arifin

7. Police Brig. Gen. Arie Sulistyo as new Chief of West Kalimantan Police replacing Police Brig. Gen. Tugas Dwi Apriyanto

Furthermore, there will be a leadership change in the top position of the National Police this month. The new Chief of National Police, as revealed by President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, was initially to be appointed in August 2013 to replace Timur Pradopo, who actually will just enter his mandatory retirement age in January 2014.
