JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has asked Immigration Office to ban Kwee Cahyadi Kumala aka Swie Teng, President Director of PT Sentul City (BKSL) Tbk, from overseas travel following the further investigation into graft case implicating Rachmat Yasin, Bogor Regent and politician from the Islamic-based United Development Party (PPP).

Johan Budi SP, KPK’s spokesperson, said Cahyadi is banned from overseas travel to anticipate possible examination on him.

According to Johan, KPK also asked Immigration Office to ban Haryadi Kumala, Cahyadi’s younger brother and also owner of PT Sentul City Tbk, from overseas travel.

As reported earlier, KPK has questioned Cahyadi alleged as the mastermind of bribery scheme to Rachmat Yasin.

Rachmat Yasin, who is also Chairman of PPP’s West Java chapter, has been detained by KPK since May 8. KPK red-handed Yasin and two other people for receiving bribe money worth Rp1.5 billion.

KPK alleged that Yasin had received a total bribe money worth Rp4.5 billion for issuing a license on the conversion of 2,754 hectares forest in Bogor into commercial areas. (haryantos@yosefardi.biz)
