TUBAN (Yosefardi) – State cement maker PT Semen Indonesia Tbk (SMGR) commences the construction of power generation with capacity of 30.6 megawatts (MW), used the waste gas from its Tuban I-IV plants.
The project, waste heat recovery power generation (WHRPG), costs Rp638 billion, supported by JFE Engeneering Japan.
This project will save 152 million kWh per year, equivalent Rp120 billion, or 30% of electricity usage.
The construction of WHRPG will take 26 months.
