JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – PT Sekawan Intipratama Tbk (SIAP), a start-up in coal business, plans to acquire coal miner PT Putra Dewa Jaya in East Kalimantan in mid this year.
SIAP’s president director Muhammad Suluhuddin Noor said Putra Dewa has coal concession area of 1,057 hectares with coal resources of 1.3 million tons and coal reserves of 700,000 tons.
Putra Dwa has its conveyor facility operating in mining area, ready to commence production.
Sekawan is also now developing mining infrastructure of its subsidiary, PT Indowana Bara Mining Coal in East Kalimantan. It has gained contract to supply coal to Hong Kong and Vietnam.
SIAP targets to produce 1.75 million metric tons of coal this year and 13.5 million metric tons by 2019.
