JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Democratic Party refuses a prank idea from its ousted Party Chairman Anas Urbaningrum suggesting President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY), the current Chairman of Democratic Party, to run for vice president in 2014.
“That’s impossible!” said Amir Syamsuddin, Minister of Law and Chairman of Democratic Party’s Honorary Council, as quoted by Liputan6.com.
“Pak SBY has won the presidential election for twice. So, it’s not necessary for him to run. Pak SBY is not greedy for power,” Deputy Secretary General of Democratic Party Ramadhan Pohan told Okezone.com.
Anas, through his personal twitter account @anasurbaningrum, has suggested SBY to run for vice president in 2014 presidential election.
Anas, moreover, tipped various possible combinations of presidential and vice presidential pair candidate with SBY as running mate. For example, Anas mentioned possible pair of Prabowo Subianto and SBY, Hatta Rajasa and SBY, Aburizal Bakrie and SBY, Jusuf Kalla and SBY, Wiranto and SBY, Megawati Soekarnoputri and SBY, Jokowi and SBY, etc.
Furthermore, Anas said the SBY’s nomination as vice presidential candidate will help Democratic Party to boost its approval rating. (haryantos@yosefardi.biz)
