JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – The National Mandate Party (PAN) followed the Democratic Party and the Great Indonesia ruling coalition (KIH) to support the House of Representatives (DPR) to pass the government regulation in lieu of law No. 1/2014 (or known as the Perppu on direct regional election) into law.

PAN Deputy Secretary General Teguh Juwarno told the press on Friday (Dec. 5) that his party committed with earlier agreement with the Democratic Party to pass Perppu 1/2014 into law.

As reported earlier, former President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY), who is still Chairman of Democratic Party, has ordered the Democratic Party to all out pass Perppu 1/2014 into law at the DPR.

SBY, moreover, feels disappointed with Golkar Party’s maneuver to reject Perppu 1/2014.

The KIH ruling coalition, meanwhile, is also keen to pass Perppu 1/2014 into law. The KIH comprises of five political parties at the DPR i.e. PDI-P, PKB, Nasdem, Hanura, and PPP.
