JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Police Brigadier General Robby Kaligis has Friday (Feb 7) been sworn in as the new Chief of the National Police’s Mobile Brigade Corps (Brimob) replacing Police Inspector General Rum Murkal.

Chief of the National Police General Sutarman revealed that Robby had for long dedicated for Brimob Corps, therehore, the appointment for chief of Brimob is not prompted by the personal relation as rumoured.

Robby Kaligis is known as Sutarman’s classmate at the Police Academy of 1981 class. Prior to the appointment, Robby served as the Chief of North Sumatra Police.

Robby’s predecessor, Ins. Gen. Rum Murkal, has been promoted as Expert Staff for Social Economy of the Chief of the National Police. Murkal has replaced Ins. Gen. Rudiard Manalasak Linggom Tampubolon, who has been promoted as the Coordinator of Expert Staffs of the Chief of the National
