JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) ended substantially lower by 2.43% to 4316 Monday (Sept 30), dragged down negative sentiment from the region and weakening of rupiah.
In the region, Nikkei 225 plummeted 2.06%, while S&P BSE Sensex lost 1.85%. Australia’s All Ordinaries lost 1.6%, while Hang Seng down 1.5%.
KOSPI, STI Index, and FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI also ended lower, while FTSE 100 opened lower by 0.84% in London.
Rupiah, meanwhile, dropped to its new low. Mid-rate of Bank Indonesia closed at Rp11,613 per USD, significantly lower than Rp11,532 on Friday.
