JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) dropped 1.2% Thursday (May 30) to tracking peers in the region.

Most blue chip stocks lost ground with Telkom falls 3.23%, while Unilever also dropped 3%. Mandiri and BRI also lost more than 2% each, while bell weather Astra International retreated 0.7%.

Mining stocks were also under pressure with Adaro Energy losing 4% to its new low in four years. Bukit Asam and Indo Tambangraya also lost 3.4% and 3.9% respectively.

Retailer Matahari Department Stores retreated 3%, while Ramayana Lestari Sentosa gained 2.7%.

In the region, Nikkei 225 plummeted 5%, while STI and All Ordinaries conceded 1% and 0.85% respectively.
