JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Andika Hazrumy, member of the Banten Legislative Council (DPRD), has on Monday (September 22) answered the second summon from the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) for a questioning related to further investigation into the graft case of the Banten administration’s medical equipment project implicating his mother, non-active Banten Governor and graft convict Ratu Atut Chosiyah.
KPK’s Spokesperson Priharsa Nugraha, as quoted by Kompas.com, confirmed that Andika will be questioned as witness for his mother.
As reported earlier, Andika didn’t showed up at the KPK for the first summon of questioning last week.
Andika will be sworn in soon as Golkar Party lawmaker of the 2014-2019 House of Representatives (DPR) after securing legislative seat from Banten I electoral district in April 2014 legislative election.
Previously, the KPK has named Ratu Atut Chosiyah, a key leader of Golkar Party, and his younger brother, Tubagus Chaeri Wardana aka Wawan, as suspects in the Banten administration’s medical equipment graft case.
Both Atut and Wawan have been sentenced to four years and five years in jail respectively for a bribery case of Lebak regency post-election dispute that implicating former Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court Akil Mochtar. (haryantos@yosefardi.biz)
