JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Hikmat Tomet, husband of Banten governor Ratu Atut Chosiyah, has passed away from a stroke at the Gatot Subroto Army Hospital, Jakarta, Saturday (November 9).
Hikmat, a lawmaker from Golkar Party, was a member of the transportation commission of the House of Representatives (DPR). He is also head of Golkar’s Banten provincial chapter.
Ratu Atut, who is also Golkar politician, has been questioned as witness for a bribery allegation involving her brother Tubagus Chaeri Wardhana (Wawan). Wawan is suspect in bribery scandal implicating Akil Mochtar, dismissed chief of the Constitutional Court.
The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) said Saturday that it will allow Wawan to attend Hikmat’s funeral.
