JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – State fertilizer firm PT Pupuk Indonesia plans to build grinding plant in Myanmar, partners with local company under joint venture scheme.

Arifin Tasrif, president director of Pupuk Indonesia, said the company is now seeking opportunity to boost its export of fertilizer products to Myanmar, from 40,000 tons in first half of this year to 300,000 tons within next 2 years.

He added Pupuk Indonesia will take 2 years for evaluating plan of building a grinding plant there.

Pupuk Indonesia booked revenues of Rp28.6 trillion in first half of this year, a 11.2% rise compared to Rp25.7 trillion in the same period of last year. It sold 6.3 million tons of fertilizer during first half.
